Pizaro’s second Houston location opened in 2015 on West Gray in Montrose, four years after Bill Hutchinson ’74 debuted the original Memorial pizzeria. Like the Memorial store, the Montrose kitchen follows Verace Pizza Napoletana standards under Bill’s certification — wood-fired Neapolitan pies with San Marzano tomatoes and fior di latte, alongside Detroit-style and New York–style menu additions. Bill’s son Matt Hutchinson co-operates both locations. The Montrose dining room has become a Friday-night fixture for W. Gray neighbors.
