Danny Hernandez

STHS Class of 2008. Son of Jesus and Maria Elena Hernandez, who relocated the family from Los Angeles to Houston in 1994 to open the Beechnut Street bakery — the second location in José Camarena’s Arandas Bakery chain, a beloved Houston panadería that today spans six locations serving traditional Mexican pan dulce, pastries, tres leches cakes, and bakery items across the greater Houston area. Danny and his brother Ricky, Class of 2001, both worked the family bakery throughout their years at St. Thomas. After graduating, Danny returned to his alma mater as a theology faculty member and language dean, channeling his family’s entrepreneurial spirit and deep community roots into mentoring the next generation of Eagles.
