Dante Trevino

STHS Class of 1998. Co-owner and manager of La Mexicana Restaurant, a Montrose institution that has been family-owned and operated since 1982, when the Trevino family purchased a neighborhood grocery store on Fairview Street and transformed it into one of the area’s most enduring Mexican restaurants. Under Dante’s stewardship, La Mexicana continues to draw loyal regulars with its traditional Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes, daily happy hours, and warm, unpretentious atmosphere. The family expanded the brand in 2018 with the opening of La Mex, a fast-casual concept in the Garden Oaks/Oak Forest neighborhood, bringing the same beloved flavors to a new generation of Houston diners on West 34th Street.
