About La Mex
Announced in December 2018 and opened soon after as the Trevino family’s first expansion beyond Montrose, La Mex is the fast-casual sister concept to La Mexicana — the family’s longtime breakfast-and-tamales favorite. Owned and operated through GoTrev Hospitality, the family’s new sister company headed by Zulema Gonzales and her siblings Dante and Briseida Treviño, La Mex brings the same family recipes that built La Mexicana’s 40-plus-year reputation to the Garden Oaks/Oak Forest neighborhood. The Stomping Grounds storefront on West 34th Street serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, along with margaritas, beer, and wine.
