Grappino di Nino
Italian · MontroseAbout Grappino di Nino
A casual wine bar and small-plates concept by STHS alum Vincent Mandola ’61, nestled in the Tuscan-style courtyard shared with Nino’s and Vincent’s on West Dallas Street in Montrose. Grappino offered an intimate setting for antipasti, pizzas, and an approachable Italian wine list — a more relaxed complement to the family’s fine dining next door. After Vincent’s passing in 2020, the restaurant closed in 2022 along with the rest of the Mandola compound, marking the end of an era on one of Houston’s most storied restaurant blocks.
